Who We Are

Locksmith 007 Inc ("Locksmith 007", "we", "us") is a mobile locksmith company licensed by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, License No. LCO8605. We serve the Monterey Bay area — Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties and Gilroy.

This policy covers information we collect through this website (www.locksmith007.com), by phone, text message and email, and when we perform a service at your car, home or business.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you call, text, email or fill out a form, we collect what you share: your name, phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code, the service you need, details about your vehicle (year, make, model, VIN) or lock, photos you send us, and your message.

Information California law requires for certain services. Before we open a home or business or make a key for a vehicle, California law (Business and Professions Code sections 6980.53 and 6980.55) requires us to verify identity and record it on a signed work order. Depending on the job, this can include your name, address, phone number, date of birth, driver's license or ID number, the service address, the vehicle registration or identification number, the date of service and your signature. We may also ask to see proof that you own or have the right to access the property or vehicle.

Payment information. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay and checks. Card and digital payments are handled by the payment provider you use; we do not store full card numbers on this website.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, date and time, and the referring page, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure which ads lead to calls, texts and form requests. If we enable Google Analytics Advertising Features (such as remarketing or demographics and interests reporting), Google and we may use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) or similar identifiers together to measure and improve our advertising.

You can control this:

Adjust or turn off ad personalization in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Do Not Track. Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals. When analytics or advertising tools are enabled, third parties such as Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you visit our site.

To answer your call, text or request, give you a price and send a technician.
To perform, document and bill the service, and send you a receipt.
To verify identity and ownership and keep the records California law requires.
To follow up about your job, answer questions and handle warranty or service issues.
To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and improve our service and advertising.
To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we will text you about your request — for example, to confirm details, send a quote, share an arrival update or a receipt. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts and HELP for help, or call (831) 317-6414. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or with third parties for their own direct marketing. We share information only:

With service providers that help us run the business and may use it only for that purpose — website hosting and security (Cloudflare), website form delivery (Web3Forms), email (Google), our phone and text messaging provider, and payment processors.
With law enforcement and regulators — work order records must be available for inspection by peace officers and the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and we respond to lawful subpoenas and court orders.
To protect rights and safety — when needed to prevent fraud or protect our customers, employees or the public.
In a business transfer — if the business is sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who must follow this policy.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep work orders and identification records for at least two years, as California law requires. We keep other customer and job records for as long as needed to provide service, handle warranty questions, and meet tax and accounting obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. Website form messages are kept in our email and in our form provider's system for a limited time.

How We Protect Information

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We limit access to customer records to people who need them to do their job and use reasonable safeguards for paper and electronic records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send ID or card numbers through the website form.

Your Choices and California Privacy Rights

Review and correct. You can ask to see the personal information we have about you and ask us to correct it.
Delete. You can ask us to delete your information. We will delete what we are not required to keep — for example, work order records must be kept for two years under California law.
Texts. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
Marketing. We do not send marketing messages without your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

California's Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies to businesses above certain size thresholds. Whether or not it applies to us, we will respond to requests to know, correct or delete your personal information within 45 days, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83), you may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
